The American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) appeals to you for your financial contribution to provide the equipment and medication necessary in Nepal immediately to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is heartbreaking to witness the devastating effect of the second wave of COVID in Nepal. The positivity rate is at almost 45% and hospitals have already reached their capacities according to the recent news. The mortality rate is at its peak since the pandemic began in January 2020. Many people are losing their lives due to the shortage of oxygen and hospital beds. Nepal is in a dire need of medical equipment and infrastructure to keep up with the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.

In this time of extreme difficulty and once-in-a-lifetime emergency, ASNEngr is determined to assist Nepal in any way through any possible means. An emergency meeting of the ASNEngr’s Board of Directors has established the “ASNEngr COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund” on May 5, 2021, and has decided to collect monetary donations from our members and friends to help COVID victims in Nepal. The collected funds will go directly to deliver oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, and other medication and equipment to complement the work of public health officials and expand local capacity in Nepal.
