In an effort to start a conversation to identify engineering solutions and improve the management of mountain floods, ASNEngr has put together a panel of experts from the USA, Canada, and Nepal. Our speakers will shed light on flood and geological hazards deep within the mountains, climate-related risks, infrastructure impacts, early-warning systems, emergency response, recovery, and long-term resilience.
This kick-off session will reference the Flood Position Paper published by the society and lay a foundation for Nepalese engineers across the globe to join hands in providing an integrated solution for risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and control.
