The objective of the American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) is to promote professional growth and advancement of individuals with Nepalese backgrounds and interests in Nepal, for the benefit of humanity. ASNEngr has always played a significant role in helping the community in Nepal since its establishment. As a part of helping in Nepal, ASNEngr helped Madan Baral with his #runforourdaughters fundraising. Madan Baral, founding president of the ASNEngr Chicago Chapter and ASNEngr life member ran the Chicago Marathon 2023 with the message “Run For Our Daughters”. He aimed to raise enough funds to provide admission, monthly, and exam fees to girls from lower economic backgrounds in various parts of Nepal. ASNEngr donated $500 to this cause and became a gold sponsor of “Run For Our Daughters”. He also wore the ASNEngr logo on his marathon jersey. Madan Baral promised to increase the scholarship and added $262 to the fund. A total of $762 was distributed in September 2024 to 6 students from Mandali Secondary Technical School in Phulkharka, Dhading. These students are pursuing agriculture engineering in this school.
