Congratulate and welcome ASNEngr’s 17th Annual Conference General and Technical Chairs

American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) wants to congratulate and welcome our 17th Annual Conference General and Technical Chairs.  Mr. Mangal Maharjan and Dr. Om Dahal were selected for General and Technical chairs, respectively.  ASNEngr also wants to extend our deep appreciation to Mr. Maharjan and Dr. Dahal for their dedicated service as chairs. We are looking forward to working closely with them and wish them all success.

Mr. Mangal Maharjan (MD), General Chair:

Mr. Mangal Maharjan is Sr. Design Engineer in EDF Renouvelables. Mr. Maharjan completed his master’s in engineering (ME) and master’s in business administration (MBA) from Ukraine and Holland.  Mr. Maharjan worked as Sr. officer at the Alternative Energy Promotion Center in Nepal for 12 ½ years and worked as Solar Design Engineer at Solar Energy World for 8 years before joining EDF Renouvelables as a Design Engineer. Mr. Maharjan is a lifelong member of the ASNEngr.  Mr. Mahajan is currently servicing as vice president of the Society, and he served various positions.

Dr. Om Dahal (NC), Technical Chair:


Dr. Om Dahal is Senior Engineer in Burns & McDonnell. Dr. Dahal's academic journey began with a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Punchwork Campus, Nepal. He then gained invaluable experience working at the Nepal Electricity Authority for seven years before pursuing his Ph.D. at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. After completing his doctorate, Dr. Dahal spent nine years contributing his expertise at the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) before joining Burns & McDonnell as a Senior Engineer. Dr. Dahal is a lifelong member of the ASNEngr and serves society in various ways. Dr. Dahal also a Senior IEEE member and holds a Professional Engineer license in the state of Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina.
