MoU with Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA)

October 16, 2015Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) and Nepal Engineers' Association (NEA).
On behalf of ASNEngr President Rajendra K. Shrestha, PhD and on behalf of NEA President Er. Dhruba Raj Thapa signed the MoU.
Activities under this MoU include, but are not limited to:
1. ASNEngr and NSET will:
a. Exchange information on engineering, scientific and technical topics and publications that are of mutual interest;
b. Exchange publications and notices;
c. Encourage joint programs in strengthening the engineering profession through continuing education and providing tangible standards
and criteria to develop and implement realistic policies on licensing of professional engineers and architects in Nepal.
d. Encourage joint events to provide training and workshops to Nepali engineers and technicians;
e. Support exchange of students, lecturers and guest; and
f. Provide mutual professional advice in the areas of engineering, technical and scientific matters to the members of each organizations.

2. ASNEngr and NEA will work closely in the sectors pertaining to burning global issue such as Climate Change, Disaster Management, Road Safety,
Disability Friendly design and shall work closely in the event of the future natural disasters in Nepal to provide efficient relief effort
to the affected people.


3. NEA will provide appropriate space in the NEA building in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal to be used for ASNEngr's Nepal related activities.
