The Greater Houston Engineering and Scientific Community Summer Picnic, September 24, 2011

ASNEngr Members in the Greater Houston area organized a gala picnic of the Houston Nepali Engineering and Scientific Community on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. During that event, the meeting was also held to elect the steering committee in preparation for formation of the Houston Chapter of American Society of Nepalese Engineers. 2011 Joint ASNEngr/CAN-USA 4th Annual Conference Successfuly Held on July 09, 2011

American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) and Computer Association of Nepal-USA (CAN-USA) held a very successful fourth annual conference Jointly on July 09-10, 2011 in Houston, Texas. The conference was attended by a diverse mix of about 50 practicing engineers, scientists and students from the industry, government agencies, and academia and 30 accompanying guests and student volunteers, adding the total number to about 80 participants.

The theme of this conference was “Engineering, Science, and Technology for Sustainable Development of a Developing Country”. The conference provided a common venue for the engineers, scientists, and related professionals to discuss on relevant topics, including but not limited to, Earthquake Preparedness and Disaster Relief in Nepal, Renewable Energy Technologies and Engineering Advances, and Advances in Infrastructure Design and Management. The conference included four technical sessions with 18 presentations and a timely and much appreciated Workshop on the job search preparation.

Houston Nepalese Engineers Meet - April 30, 2011

Nepalese engineers of the Greater Houston area had a successful and productive meeting on April 30, 2011  in Kendall Neighborhood Library, 609 North Eldridge Parkway,  Houston,  Texas. The meeting was organized by Mr. Janak Thapa and Mr. Sanjay S. Basnet. Dr. Rajendra K. ASNENgr held its 3rd Annual Conference and General Membership Meeting

The American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr) held its very successful third Annual Conference and General Membership Meeting on July 3rd and 4th, 2010 at Park Plaza Hotel & Towers, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. with the 2010 Association of Nepalis in Americas (ANA) Convention. The Conference was jointly held with Computer Association of Nepal-USA (CAN-USA). It was the first jointly held conference between ASNEngr and CAN-USA. Joint ASNEng/ANMF/CAN-USA Earthquake Preparedness Initiative in Nepal

The American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNEngr), America-Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF), and Computer Association of Nepal (CAN)-USA are undertaking a joint endeavor on Earthquake Preparedness and Disaster Relief for Nepal. They have    launched this  joint effort to unify the Nepali diaspora worldwide and combine  their technical and professional knowledge and resources to strategically prepare for the devastation that will impact Nepal in case of an earthquake disaster.  For details please click here. The 2nd Amendment of the Bylaws is effective February 26, 2010

ASNEngr Board of Directors's Upcoming Meeting

The Board of Directors (BOD) of the American Society of Nepalese Engineers is scheduled to  have a teleconfernece meeting on Sunday, February 14, 2010 (5PM U.S. East coast time). The Board will be discussing and making decision on several impotant items.  The Chairs and Vice Chairs of all the standing committees of the Society are also invited to attend the meeting .
